Decided to pay the piper and booked a massage. It was excellent! That was the only "on site" activity we did. Through the hotel, we booked the full day island tour which was fun (would recommend this and surprisingly well priced). We also booked a private full day snorkeling tour to Koh Tao and Nang Yuan on a Speedboat. This was about $1,100 including taxes. This was one of the better snorkeling tours I've ever done. Snorkeling was great and Nang Yuan was a cool island to check out, with some breathtaking selfies you can take after taking the hike up.
I know you say you get bored but I would never tire of the amazing views from my amazing private pool. I got a floating breakfast one morning, loaded up on beers at the nearby convenience store, and loved just chilling in the water all day pounding some beers. Not everyone's cup of tea but loved it.
