So can't really agree with you there, I don't want to be forced to credit to JMB to get free $10 wifi (assuming they're moving to the same cheap-ish system QR has). That's not very customer friendly especially in premium cabins. Even if it's the same price as now I'd definitely not sacrifice a lot of miles to JMB for that benefit.
My worry is mainly that the system does not really have the bandwidth for all passengers to be using the system, so you need some factor of limitation, or nobody gets a usable experience.
I accept I'll end up paying on some carriers, and not on my home carrier.
