I have submitted a claim with my personal auto insurance and will also submit a claim today with the unit of American Express that will be the secondary insurance. What no one seems to know is if I will have to pay my $1000 deductible after my primary insurance pays off Hertz or if I will have to pay the $1000 but then may get my deductible paid by American Express.

I hope someone who had a similar situation can report what happed to them.
