As I was at Terminal, I waited in line and got rebooked on a flight tomorrow. I tried getting paperwork on the reason for the delay but the agent couldn't produce any but it appeared to be Frontier's fault as there would be hotel vouchers. I was told that I would have to wait by elevator area until they were done rebooking and then they'd give hotels out to everyone.

I started to get impatient so I called Frontier since I can get phone access as Elite. Agent told me mechanical issue was the reason but couldn't email me a statement. I decided to get on chat and maybe I could screenshot the response. I wanted to confirm the reason so I could go about booking a hotel myself using Trip Delay. I could have booked Paris but didn't want to pull the trigger until I had reason confirmed.

I did get a screen shot but I couldn't book anymore as it was after midnight. It turns out you have to walk in to the desk to get rooms this late. I thought it was just CET but Tuscany ended up saying same thing and so did the Holiday Inn Express that Frontier paid for.

I took a rideshare to Paris but rooms were gone by the time I got there. Tuscany, which I only thought of as they had a free play promo that I took advantage of had a room fo $200.

I took a cab over there And was in the process of getting a room when I saw that frontier had emailed me a roo voucher. Though I'm certain this benefit applies, I still wasn't excited about risking $200 getting reimbursed when I had a guaranteed room.

Luckily I hadn't completed check in so I took rideshare to the Frontier paid hotel.

I missed the food vouchers bc I left airport but apparently I might still be able to get them tomorrow. I decided to order Door dash since CSR should reimburse that.

There's a breakfast free here but I probably wont want to get up that early.

Tomorrow I have a few hours in Denver. I can use the soon to be discontinued restaurant benefit if that's still there or I guess Trip Delay would reimburse meals.

I am still awaiting a response from my claim, which isn't surprising. After submission, it said it would take at least 10 business days for my claim to be reviewed.
Last week, I tried getting a cancellation statement/letter from Frontier and I also tried to get these food vouchers that I was not given. They addressed the vouchers (denied me as seen in a post in the F9 forum) but both times, they didn't not address my request for the cancellation reason letter.

I uploaded the chat screenshots with my claim last week. We'll see if that was enough, but I decided to be proactive, and contact Frontier Customer Service with a request for a cancellation statement/email for my flight. This time, this is the only issue I addressed in the form and we'll see if they respond promptly with my statement. I even pasted the sample I saw here and wrote a sample with my info for them in the request.

I anticipate F9 not giving me my letter as their CS is bad: I won't be surprised if they copy paste me something irrelevant to my question. (Last time they mentioned that I could not get a refund because I had already been rebooked and flown those flights. Note that I never asked for a refund...)

If they do give me the proper statement of cancellation, I'll wait to submit it to see if my chat screen shots are accepted by the benefits administrator. If I get the run around, I might just wait to see if I need to keep pressing F9 for the letter.

I received responses quicker than I anticipated. By this afternoon, Card Benefits had left and email and voice mail saying that they needed a statement about the relationship of the other person on my flight itinerary. I told them that the person was a friend who did not stay with me during the trip, and the only meal he had with me was at a Priority Pass restaurant, and I pointed out that already divided that charge in half. I then stated that all the expenses otherwise itemized were for my sole use. Just for the record, it appears Card Benefits reviewed my claim 5 business days after I filed it. I'll update when they view my statement and hopefully just pay out then. It appears so far that the screenshots of the chat with Frontier suffice for the delay reason.

On the Frontier front, I received a quick response form them with a letter stating the cancellation reason and that I was rebooked on the flights I already sent screenshots of to Card Benefits. Frontier stated the reason as "weather conditions," This reason would qualify me for the "Trip Delay" benefits, but they changed their cancellation reason from when I asked on the phone and through chat on the evening of the cancellation. I do think the actual reason was mechanical or they would not have given me a hotel for free and given others food vouchers (which again, I somehow didn't get at the time and Frontier won't give me after the fact).

That Claims is only asking for a relationship statement again makes me think I don't need to upload the letter so I'll just wait for pending claim to process with just uploaded statement.
