While I don’t have the old grandfathered PAYG plan (I was not paying thinking and switched to a Simple Plus plan for a month to get roaming data a number of years ago), I did get onto on the $3/mth PAYG plan with them.

I don’t use the line much as I don’t live in the US currently, but I do still keep the line live for my bank and other services, and do use it on my regular visits back.

I have also seen ‘phantom’ SMSs on the plan: always says I have like either 8/10 or 9/10 of my free minutes or texts still available even when I have stored the SIM outside my phone. Nothing more than that, but I do normally load $50 at a time and do not regularly track the balance on my account. Will check my historical billed items, see if I’m getting charged unexpectedly as well.
