Mea culpa… I saw the writer started to go off on the food and, knowing the complaints on inconsistent quality, just skipped the rest of the writeup on that topic.
Yes, SEA food can be ‘haute cuisine’, there is nothing that says Western food only… Dewakan should at least have proven that to the writer (I’ve never been, but will take Michelin’s word on it.) Lots of other very good ‘elevated’ local places too.
I too prefer the local options, do not bother with the Western dishes at the Satellite lounge. Like I said, I’ve never had a really bad meal before…
Also, on the festive options: I believe in March or so there was some special menu with Chinese food options. Guess that leaves Malaya Indian & Eurasian food to get to?
