What is your IHG One Rewards status?
Diamond Inner Circle Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Mixed feeling

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Standard Room, received King Premium High Floor.
Room Renovation is 80% finished, still 28-31st floors are remaining.
My regular room is existed in those floor, therefore I have not experienced renovated room yet except mockup room.

How are the rooms?
32sqm. Need to refurbish (carpet, TV, fabrics of the sofa), but I believe room function is much better than the renovated room.

Video of King Premium High Floor:

How is the exec. lounge?
Staff is completely replaced. People many of you guys familiar with are gone.

Food and beverage products are little bit improved. But, this lounge became a mediocre. No heart touch service. Sunk to the packaged food & beverage offering place.

What was your welcome gift?
Cut Fruits plate

How was the mini-bar?
Fairly good. Champagne has been backed to the Perrier-Jouet.

Did you receive fruit in the room?
Yes, as welcome gift.

What was good?
Improve of the Club lounge meal selection

What was bad?
Club Lounge’s heart touch service is gone.

Well, when they have so many guests under current booming of visit Japan, it is natural they tend to get the wrong idea that don't care about RAs and/or the old regular ones.

Former GM Clive Murray (now Director of Operations Luxury & Lifestyle, Japan and Micronesia) doesn't seem to have any respect for RAs and/or long-term regulars. He completely destroyed the culture of this hotel. And the current GM, Michael Janssen, is following Mr Murray's policies to the letter. Many of the regulars are gone. RAs should not expect to this hotel.

Value for $ or One Rewards Points?
No. Most of the Japanese cannot afford the current nightly rate. Crazy.

Would you return?
Probably not until both Mr Murray and Mr Janssen are gone from Japan. Perhaps this is no longer the place I loved.
