I apologize if this was somewhere else, but please be aware of AeroMexico challenges and the lack of notification of using "kilometers" not miles by Marriott.

I booked a ticket for a friend using points and transferred the proper amount into the AeroMexico account. I did the 3:1 math as stated on the website.

*After the 1st attempt, I see only a fraction of the points needed is in the account.
*I contact Marriott, they say to wait 5-7 days.
*On day 10, they say there is no update.
*Day 11, I transfer more points into AeroMexico to make up the difference. I book the ticket
*Day 28 - I show my AeroMexico transaction history to Starwood and they say "it is in kilometers, not miles"

I am flabbergasted as I looked everywhere and did not see "kilometers" or any disclaimer about AeroMexico.

Anyone else have this issue?

I redeemed 208,000 points (included bonuses) and only received 35k in AeroMexico points. I am due 100k plus points......
