Yes, you went over this in another thread. Even for TK, this was unusual.

Usually it does not but it does happen, as SFO is my home airport.
Why is UA checked bag claim so slow? (EWR,ORD, SFO, IAH, ...)

If the bags had been interlined, that is also true for ORD. Non-interline bags caused your need to go to the domestic checkin counters

2:20, not 3 hours. Had it been 3 hours, that probably would have worked
