What an absolutely fantastic hotel! Here are my impressions from my stay last night:

Pros:

• Upgraded on a normal cash booking from a base room to a King Premier Suite the night before arrival
• Suite had lots of comfortable furniture and a great sophisticated design with good art and details
• Bed was comfortable - medium slightly plush mattress, plush pillows, covers of decent enough plushness for Dubai
• Shower pressure was good from both rainfall head and wand
• Service was very friendly and helpful - they helped intercept a delivery that came to the back of the property and delivered it straight to my room
• Asked about late checkout and was able to get 3 PM!
• Delicious welcome gift with caramel peanut chocolates and really fresh macarons - when I mentioned how much I love macarons to the FDA who brought me to the room, another box of macarons arrived an hour later
• Great turndown service - super friendly and they asked me which side of the bed I wanted to sleep on
• Nice views, including of the Burj Khalifa
• Great breakfast - small buffet with hot dishes ordered a la carte - great omelet, hashbrown, and chicken sausages - great iced water (like I’m back home!) - very friendly service - great barista coffee

Neutral:

• The lobby has an ever-present smoke smell - think it might be the bar down the hall?

I will definitely come back.
