I am not sure if the new short-haul seats are being discussed in a dedicated thread… I flew on an A321neo with the new seats, here are some thoughts:
  • I find them generally more comfortable than the current ones, due to the padding and shape of the seat.
  • I thought that the pitch was the same, but weirdly I found them to be more spacious at knee level (I was in CE row 3).
  • Conversely, for some odd reason I found them more cramped when trying to work on the tray table: I could barely fit my laptop and typing on it was somehow difficult. I wonder if that’s due to a different shape of the seat.
  • Worryingly, the tray table was slanted, as if it was already damaged as one of the two “arms” came down lower than the other.
  • The USB-C outlet is useful and very well positioned.

Overall, I like them. I hope they are as durable as the current ones…
