I lived about two blocks away from this hotel! It's a big property and tends to host a lot of conventions. If you're looking for an intimate Parisian experience, this ain't it. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Gare du Montparnasse, which connects Paris to the SW portion of France. The AF Bus stops right in front of the hotel, which makes getting to and from CDG a snap. Montparnasse is the Times Square of Paris -- lots of movie theaters, chain cafes, shopping malls, etc. The area is not especially charming, unfortunately. However, about two blocks from the hotel is the Montparnasse-Bienvenue metro station, one of the city's largest. The 6, 12, 4, and 13 lines stop there, meaning that it is incredibly easy and quick to reach almost any destination in Paris. There is also a plethora of bus service in the area. Walk about 15 minutes north from the hotel, and you enter the charming districts of the 6th arrondissement -- St. Germain des Pres, Jardin du Luxembourg, etc. The rates at the hotel do seem pretty reasonable, however.
