I am browsing the airfares for a July-August trip to Sicily ( have been for a while), but today for the first time, in the Google flights, I saw some interline fares and itinerary options that connect me from Toronto or Montreal to Rome Fiumicino via Air Canada, and then immediately connect ITA to Palermo, and also back on return.

Most likely this is due to the imminent approval of Lufthansa-ITA partnership by EU antitrust bureau in the next week.

But has anyone has seen or know that Air Canada and ITA relationship and Aeroplan agreement or any codeshare news? I am aware the current ITA Skyteam membership.

I hope Air Canada will announce something very soon.
