It will probably be another month or so before you'll be able to start seeing rates for June, 2025, at some hotels. If you are unable to find decent rates -- for either cash or points -- in Manhattan, I would look at Long Island City, Queens (just across the East River from Manhattan) before looking at Brooklyn. There are several subway lines which serve Long Island City (Queens Plaza, underground station; Queensboro Plaza, elevated station), and the ride to the East Side of Manhattan takes between five and eight minutes, depending on which train you take.
