I think it's all down to your personal level of risk tolerance. The airline won't consider this as a connection, and you'll be on your own if you miss the cutoff time for the second flight (45' prior to departure to drop bags).

There's no special line for business class arrivals; if you have a US passport you can use the e-gates.
