We will be flying JFK-LHR-MYK in September. our JFK-LHR is booked on BA using miles, but we will be connecting to MYK on a cash ticket with Aegean, meaning we'll need to clear customs and retrieve luggage.

JFK-LHR arrives at 9:05 and LHR-MYK departs at 11:55. Is this enough time? I know this meets minimum connection time recommended by BA, but is the approximately 2h 45m connection adequate when on separate itineraries? I know this is assuming JFK-LHR is on time. The alternative would be to book a 12:15 or 15:35 departure to ATH.

It's been a while since I've been through LHR - is there a dedicated customs area or line for business class arrivals?
