We had some weird experience with that too. They asked for pre-payment and routed us to some dodgy looking site where we actually could not process our US CC (the corporate laptop would not allow us to proceed due to security reasons so this tells you something) and then they just cancelled our reservation. We're working with the concierge now but might just go elsewhere. Very weird and such a thing never happened to us before. We're staying also in 2 Mr & Mrs smith properties and no issues with charging our CCs there so it must be hotel-specific thing.
