Exiting via the tunnel usually isn't too bad (although there are exceptions). What I do is stay in the middle lane in the tunnel, which has the option to exit onto the 105 ramp. Most people stay in the far right lane, which often backs up, but you can typically go a lot faster in the middle lane.
