It was one example that shows the claim "You can fly to LGB just as well and achieve all the same outcomes" is an overstatement.
A minor overstatement for your one anecdotal example, perhaps. I'd say it's not an overstatement to claim that LGB should be in the mix for a large number of trips to/from SoCal that normally use SNA. It's a valid alternative.
