My newest pet peeve has to do with the boarding process for AA and likely other companies as well. We’ve just returned from flights to England and Ireland, and booked International Business fares. I now have to walk with a cane, and appreciate having a few extra moments to get to my seat and stow my cane and small carry on bag, but as boarding time approaches, everyone booked on the flight crowds into the entryway, and I need to battle my way through a crowd, although I’m eligible to pre board or, at worse, to board in Group 1. Surely there must be a better system for boarding ( although I don’t know what could be changed!)
Crazy simple....
Let Zone 1 line up when ever they want in the Zone 1 (and 2) line. Always have it be the lane away from the desk. Let anyone that wants to get in line to do so.
Use the other lane for pre-bards only. (Anyone that tries to jump the line gets pointed to the back of the other line.)
Preboards (including CK) pre-board. then pull the rope across that line. And do Group 1.
Everyone is happy.
