Yes, I have frequently seen what looked like a seatmap of an almost empty plane getting a metamorphosis (a day and a half or so prior to departure) to the point of no "non-priority" seat unoccupied. 50% or more of the passengers being BE on some flights to and from PHX sounds about right to me.
