I had the same experience as you early this 2024 CK cycle, and moved on from maintaining CK as I figured out I can just get guaranteed services from PS at LAX. I still come out financially ahead.
Maybe time to vote with your wallet when you are LAX based? On the BA board, I know you have matched to BA Gold, so now that opens up AS/AA/BA/QR/AY/JL as options from LAX.
Thank you for the feedback... it isn't just me. Yes. You are correct.... I have been trying to get a good handle on the BA board just in case of jumping... I am LA based as you know, but haven't tried PS yet. Getting plans in place for when the time comes... not going to pay for it or do any challenges. Even paying for 5 star.. for those of us who "know" what this is...(jk) is more cost effective. If the IRROPS is dropping out, I don't see a lot of benefit to try to maintain CK. And yes,,, I have enjoyed Qantas F on a regular basis!! A couple of have discussed PS. I know there are packages but you still need to maintain a membership at a certain level don't you or is it all a la carte?? And again... since I am still in the learning process, have you used the other airlines and just put in your BA number as codeshare??
