Hi all,

Currently at the hotel. I had quite low expectations before arriving, but am quite impress. (the main reason is because Corendon at least from Dutch POV is more of those all-in resort type holidays and low-cost airline),
As a Bonvoy elite, the benefits are good compared to other Tribute Porfolio properties I've stayed.
- welcome gift of 1000 or breakfast (my option)
- a managers happy hour (which at least during my stay, the GM, F&B manager and operations Manager was present, and we had some nice discussion). There were a few other elite Bonvoy members. Outside of alcoholic drinks, they did also provide some usual (Dutch) snacks. I am not sure if this is the normal situation from F&B and managers present.
- welcome drink voucher
- a nice welcome gift in the room (in my case a box of chocolates)
- was upgraded to a junior suite (however this is the Dutch version, which is basically a slightly larger room - the Hilton in Rotterdam has the same definition of a Junior Suite)
- my late checkout request at 1 pm was not an issue ( was pro-actively asked too at check-in).

All in all, surprisingly a good hotel and most probably a very good option compared to the Sheraton at the airport (which is 2-3x more expensive). There is a shuttle that runs every 30 mins from Schiphol, starting already quite early from 04.15am.
For those who wants to have a look into the Boeing 747 plane (which is one of the reason I booked a night here) - you will need to get a ticket before, but it's quite cheap, just 3€.

From the GM, I was informed that the appartments and the Urban hotel, those will be renovated and will be converted to a Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn. The changes will come towards the end of this year and mid next year. End 2025, what is now known as the Corendon Village will basically become a Marriott Village

Cheers!
