I have been looking at fares to get me and Mrs YYJ_SLF to Myrtle Beach next May with a stop in Winnipeg to see family in paid J. Charelston and Charlotte are a 2.5 and 3.5 hour drive away respectively.

I looked at 2 options and got the following fares for two pax :

YYJ - YWG - CLT - YYJ : $6,950.14
YYJ - YWG - CHS - YYJ : $11,505.06

For the life of me, I cannot understand how this is even possible. The only explanation that I can think of is that there is non *A competition to CLT but not to CHS. If that is the case, that is a sad indictment of the competitive landscape in our country.
