In order to answer my own question and provide feedback....CTA is a disaster of an airport. Don't bother arriving early, don't bother even attempting the lounge - the queue was out of the door which is what happens when the capacity is only 35. No air conditioning although if you go downstairs to gate 1-4 that was working well. We departed Gate 21 which ran parallel with Gate 22 which was the Ryanair flight so if you aren't paying attention you'll find you're in the wrong place heading to the wrong location. I shall bank my 320 tp's and I loved Sicily but I hate Catania Airport and won't be hurrying back.
