Gotogate is one of the worst in terms of customer service and they charge you for an airline initiated cancellation even if you didn't want to cancel. If you know you're going to fly xx itinerary exactly as you booked it then you will save some money with them sometimes. But don't ever buy an error fare from them because 9 times out of 10 these days the airline cancels it unilaterally and Gotogate and their affiliates will charge you a fee to refund you.
Gotogate is an Etraveli company from Sweden, and all of their subsidiaries are equally shady. I seem to recall that Agoda also uses one of their agencies to book air tickets despite Booking.com (Agoda's parent) actually having quite a good reputation for customer service on the hotel side.
Slightly OT, but Booking Holdings is really Priceline, which acquired both Booking.com and Agoda at various times. You are right that their customer service is good for an OTA
