The checked bag is the sticking point. T2 and T3 are next to each other. Airside it is a relatively easy walk. But you need to go outside security and downstairs to baggage claim.
Grabbing a bag from T2 and going to T3 is also relatively simple:
- Follow the signs to baggage claim downstairs, grab your bag in Terminal 2 and head to Terminal 3 departures. (Upstairs, next terminal over. Easy walk.)
- Check in with AA, drop your bag and follow the signs to security. No trains needed.
- After security, head left or right depending on your gate. (AA has L K H G concourses) All concourses are an easy walk from security.

Super helpful stuff, many thanks! Am I correctly understanding that after grabbing my bag on the T2 arrivals level, I go directly back up to departures and can walk in between terminals from T2-T3 landside on the departures level? Would that be inside the building, or outside on a curb/sidewalk?
