Although I have never been on TED, I don't think, quite frankly, not having a full can of soda would prevent me from trying TED. I have heard people complain about sodas being flat when they get refills because the cans get opened and saved for later use. This, I think, is a legitimate complaint (but not to the degree where I would reconsider whether to fly TED for this reason alone, though). This actually brought me to think about the possibility of serving 2L bottles instead of cans. Wouldn't it make sense? A 2L bottle can fill many cups while the remaining portion will remain carbonated for longer than an open can. Plus, 2L bottles, on average, are cheaper than cans. I guess bottles would present a storage issue since all aircrafts are designed to house carts that store cans. However, if that can be worked out, wouldn't 2L bottles work better on TED flights?
