The truth is that it's government. And government is rarely optimised. If they do optimise it's probably to benefit their citizens ahead of temporary visitors. YMMV.
In this case. I think it is more about outdated law.. as mentioned this law is almost 100 years old.. but the thing is they are enforcing it. Either way, it's not just about my complaints about inconveniences. Rather I'm genuinely curious how other people manage it.

In terms of policy.. a standard international 90 days of meds and supplements would lift a huge burden off a lot of people.. residents and travelers alike.. i never heard anyone talking about this before. just trying to raise awareness.
