I would also look at the current selling price for W compared to what you paid. If it’s the same or less than the $600 upgrade fee p/p AND you can cancel current tickets for a flight credit, I would put new W seats on hold and use the flight credit to rebook. You then may earn more loyalty points and may even luck out and get a cheap upgrade offer to J.
