I do not know much about airiplane types, but JNB-WDH had 6 rows of 2-2 business class seating. I was the only person up front.
Return was 3-3 seating, "regular economy" for lack of a better term. WDH staff acknowledged that. And gave me WDH lounge access. :-)
After it's latest reprieve form bankruptcy, SA leased some 737-800 aircraft from SunExpress (link). I've flown business on the legacy SA A320 (link) product and for a shorter flight, it was quite nice. SA has (or used to have) a few A319 aircraft that were in a 2-3 busines class configuration that weren't as nice. Thankfully I've never recently flown on any of the various LCC configured aircraft. I expect it was a thoroughly unpleasant sardine can of a cabin.
