I think there are more Hong Kong lawyers, bankers etc. doing business in Singapore due to market downturn here. There are more MNCs who moved their HQ in SG now too who still do business in HK and PRC so are likely travelling between SG and HK more frequently than when they were actually HQ here.
You have to wonder if the expense of all these flights will actually lure some who conduct so much of their business in HK/China back (and reduce demand on the route.)
