Are the older trains slower? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around all the different trains and the 2 websites - Trenitalia and I forget the other one.

We would like the fastest train both when going from Rome - Venice and also from Venice - Milan. That would be the Freccia Rossa, correct? No matter which website I book it on?
