So, 100,000 Aeromexico points would be 62,500 AMEX Mileage Reward points (per ticket). This would be for both Mrs. Gottfredson and myself coming to 125,000AMEX MR points one way. I value the points at 1.5 cents apiece so potential value of the transaction would be $1,875 USD. I have plenty of AMEX points and don't mind some risk, but the risk seems higher than I would normally do travelling as a couple (based on the research and feedback I've gotten).

Avianca has a current sale for MIA-BOG-EZE for $750-$950 USD MIA-EZE .... Never tried Avianca before but the lie-flat hard product seems pretty good. There is also a Westcoast-PTY-EZE on Copa for 88K United miles (I have plenty of Chase UR points as well). Copa is 737MAX recliner. Comparing these options to the Aeromexico award has me thinking.
