That is odd... technically the length of the flight has nothing to do with minimum check-in times but if you checked in at 9am and you had no baggage, your only requirement was to be at the gate in time for boarding. Honestly this is where being able to reprint a boarding pass from a kiosk without having to speak to an agent would have helped. Assuming that everyone has a fully charged smartphone and that the app isn't having tech issues is a big assumption on the part of AS...I guess my wish is that each airport would have at least a few kiosks pre and post security that are able to reprint paper boarding passes.
