I understand some passengers may prefer having all the food served at once. That is fine. I had been using the Express Option prior to Covid. However, don't make excuses to make Express Option as the standard offering.

I was on TPE-SFO recently, and there was an extended turbulence for about 15 min after taking off, and FA cited that as the reason they cannot provide full Polaris multi-course services (and forgot serving the appetizer before I reminded them). The flight was 12 hours long!! UA needs to ensure FA are providing consistent services throughout its international flights.
WOW, talk about lazy.
I recently flew TPE-SFO as well and I think we were delayed more than 15min because of turbulence and had no problem getting the full meal service.

Maybe there is a limited amount of time before they are supposed to swap over for rest time and the replacement isnt supposed to serve meals?
