Comments: My first experience as a platinum. Was thanked several times for being a platinum member during check-in and was told the upgrade available due to last minute cancellation. Had booked the room with breakfast before achieving platinum but informed breakfast would have been available as a welcome amenity had I not, other options were 500 points or a "local gift" of a hotel branded notebook or laptop sleeve (took the notebook). Welcome letter from the front office manager explicitly stated the benefits to receive as a platinum including welcome amenity options. Also received coupons along with the welcome letter for two drinks in the bar and 20% off any in-house dining (one-time only). Suite was huge compared to standard rooms so very happy. Hotel itself quite good for a Four Points and considering the rate, location good for Chinatown obviously and only 1 MRT station to Sentral, 2 to Bukit Bintang, monorail also 3 mins walk away. Bar and pool have a great view and can see Petronas Towers.
