The reception’s staff was professional and friendly and greeted me warmly. She recognized my gold status and gave me a gold card with my benefits listed, including a complete buffet breakfast and premium Wi-Fi. All other staff members that I have encountered, including the concierge, have been friendly and helpful.

I booked a queen room and was upgraded to a king. The room was spacious enough and I particularly liked the large shower compartment. Housekeeping was thorough and my two bottles of water were replenished daily.

The location is indeed perfect, literally across the street from Victoria Station if you find the correct exit – the one all the way to the end, passing by a MacDonald, a Starbucks, restrooms, and all the way to the station reception.

There are plenty of dining options nearby, a couple of lively pubs that serve decent food, and a few casual restaurants. If you want something quick and simple, there is a food hall across the street from the main entrance to the station.

Breakfast buffet was excellent and includes all the right ingredients for the perfect English breakfast. It was delicious and I enjoyed it. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay, and would definitely return if I need to catch an early morning train again.

Thank you for your review. I have a few cruises departing out of Southampton, and have plans to catch a bus to London for a few days. I need a hotel near the National Express bus terminal by the train station. All I need is a place to sleep. And that breakfast looks good. Thanks again 👍
