We just spent a week two doors down at Wailea Beach Villas. Dinner last night at Ferraro’s in the Four Seasons. The big drop in visitors was very noticeable everywhere on Maui. I saw that April was down about 30% from April 2023. Seems like about that in the last week.
This must be horrible for everything tourism-related. It really makes no sense that Kihei/Wailea/Makena are so badly affected, given how far away Lahina is. But that’s how it is, regardless.
I love and hate the south side, as I’m more a west side guy. But relative to the west side it seemed busy to me, our house was walking distance from Monkeypod and that was busy, so was every beach all the way down to La Parouse. Got home this morning.
