International to Domestic ATL: checked bags

Flying KE-operated, DL marketed ICN-ATL, connecting on ATL-NYC DL-operated, DL-marketed.

haven’t flown through ATL for international in a while. I have global entry and I DO have some alcohol to declare.

can someone explain the process for my checked bags (which will have the alcohol in it)? My understanding is:

1.) Land at ATL
2.) Proceed to CBP
3.) Via Global Entry Kiosk, indicate I have items to declare
4.) Get slip, THEN pick up checked bags, proceed to agricultural inspection to pay duty
5.) Recheck my bags at transfer desk
6.) Go thru TSA security
7.) Arrive airside.

i have a 6 hour layover so I’m sure I’ll be good on time, but can someone clarify the order? Specifically, I am wondering when I get my checked bags and when do I recheck them? I thought KE would check them all the way thru.

thanks!
