Indigo Belgrade

Indigo Belgrade

What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Standard redemption > Queen Premium with Stocked Minibar

How are the rooms?
Like most Indigos, the room was quite small but decorated fancily. The hotel’s key card was required to activate electricity. There were multiple light switches all over, and the bulbs reacted slowly which was confusing. The noise insulation was excellent as until I opened the window, I did not hear any street noise or notice that a rock concert had commenced outside. Oddly the window handle was tiny, smaller than my pinky finger.

There are multiple sockets including a multi-country socket by the table. The bathroom is comparatively large, but sadly my shower was unsatisfactory as the maximum water temperature and pressure was quite low. The towels and toilet paper are rather luxurious.

The inside base of the kettle was burnt black and flaking metal. Boiled water had an extremely metallic taste. The included minibar had a mainly alcoholic selection.

How is the exec. lounge?
None

What was good and what was bad?
The hotel is in an excellent location a few moments northwest from Republic Square. The entrance is in a small courtyard between the two parallel main streets in the pedestrianised zone, but it is difficult to notice the narrow alleyway to the courtyard as the signs are tiny. It is relatively easy to access from the terminus of bus 72 to the airport, but traffic is awful going from the airport to the hotel in the late afternoon (at least on working days).

A slight smell of cigarettes permeated the lobby and reception area even though I never saw any smoking.

The staff here were casual, friendly and helpful, which is to be expected at an Indigo.

Breakfast had a range of fresh and healthy items on the buffet and menu.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
I paid 26000 points which I got down from 32k points by checking daily. The paid rate of €135 would also have been reasonable, although I wrongly assumed Serbia would be cheap like other Balkan countries. I would recommend this hotel for tourists looking to stay in the city centre.
