Stayed there opening week in I believe the same room as Aventine (highest category base room). There was definitely quite a bit that could be improved in terms of service since it was the opening. A lot of staff (as well as an Aman PR manager we randomly chatted with) seemed to proactively mention that service will need time to get better considering it's the opening. In regards to the room, they are very spacious for Tokyo. Not as spacious as the rooms at Aman Tokyo but more spacious than other Tokyo luxury hotels I've visited. Didn't have problems with the finishing myself but wished the lighting could be controlled separately between the room and the bathroom. Personally, I might try to visit 6-12 months from now to see what it's like after service levels (should be) improved.
