From my limited flying with AS since I became Sapphire I found that if the cabin crew remembered to check their tablet to find the elites hidden in the crowd, you would receive great service. But they often don't.
I had to ask for the chocolate when I sat in the back of the bird to be with family because the FA didn't know who I was (joke). But when I mentioned my mom loved those chocolates, the FA gave me a few more. It was nice.
