Bali has its own culture, unique in the world. SFO-GUM-DPS could be a very attractive routing for UA wayfarers.

When CO flew from Guam to DPS, CNS, etc., many of my fellow Saipan Hash House Harriers in the mid 1990s went to Bali, regaling us with tales of their adventures, but I had two preschoolers then.

There are many places in southeast Asia that could be profitably and effectively served via GUM -- if and only if UA implements nonstop service there from the U.S. mainland.

GUM need not be primarily about O & D traffic. It can be about connections.
