I'd prefer something which isn't so far from the airport.
I will be travelling solo and have been to Phuket before, so am happy to stay put at the hotel and enjoy the beach and the pool. I definitely want a full service hotel. Will probably stay on points, especially if I'm there for 5 nights. Options include Naka Island, Marriott Merlin Beach and the Renaissance (or possibly the InterContinental Phuket). Thoughts/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I had a good time at the Renaissance Dec 2022 and would go back. They have something like 40 villas so the odds of a significant upgrade are decent. The ocean may be rough at that time of year though?
