Thanks, glad to know my recollection & instinct -- that award tickets get standard lounge access -- is still correct.
I'll be a single dad on a plane, transpacific, with THREE kids. I'm thinking (hoping!) FA's might take pity on me, let the kids sleep if they want to sleep upon boarding, and serve meals when the kids wake. Easier for everyone, quieter for everyone, just all 'round better. But I guess not guaranteed. I could've sworn that as early as, what, 2000 -- AA was providing on-demand meals in business class. Obviously a lot changes over the decades, but to me this is a feature to keep.
Understand the rationale of getting onto destination time zone. We're connecting at HND, so that applies somewhat less to us than to others. We'll be all messed up in time zones, pretty much no matter what we do...
