Even Livermore to SFO, keep in mind that bay area traffic is congested and can take much longer than you think.
Count me as another vote for Livermore under these circumstances.
(I lived in nearby Dublin for 8⅔ years, but grew up in San Rafael, and my father designed the bridge at Lake Sonoma while working for the USACE.)
There are many excellent wineries in the Livermore Valley. Spend time on the wine, not the drive!
