As I say, this could just be an IT glitch. Maybe the award redemptions are also supposed to say, 'Flagship Business." Perhaps someone who has flown on an intercontinental Business Class award can chime in on their experience.
Lot of over-analyzing going on here.
AA is terribly inconsistent in its use of the "Flagship" terminology. Don't read into it.
Longhaul intl business gets Flagship Lounge access regardless of cash or award. Or has the 'Flagship' moniker
