God help us all, why do these baby threads keep coming up?

F isn't an appropriate place for an infant, I'd actually applaud and support airlines that banned them. Prepare to be hated by and perhaps confronted by other passengers in the cabin when it gets noisy. Other people are paying many thousands of dollars for that cabin for solace, you're paying a % of that as a lap infant surcharge on an award, it's unfair.
