If I miss connecting flight in Chicago (from Europe), will I have to pay?
If I miss connecting flight in Chicago (from Europe), will I have to pay for the next flight? This trip is all on one ticket. United is suggesting a flight in Chicago with 1.5 hour layover. I will be arriving from Europe in Chicago, and then trying to fly to another city from Chicago all within 1.5 hours. If the line for immigration/customs is long and I miss my flight, what happens? Will I have to pay to get a different flight? The next flight in Chicago is something like 9 hour layover, so the choice is a short 1.5 layover that I could miss the next flight, or a long 9 hour layover that doesn't get to the final city until like 11 pm at night (and that flight is way more expensive, so would prefer to choose the 1.5 hour layover). Thoughts, comments, experience with this situation? Thanks
